Grass is one of the three basic elemental types along with Fire and Water, which constitute the three starter Pokémon. Grass is one of the weakest types statistically, with 5 defensive weaknesses and 7 types that are resistant to Grass moves. Grass-type Pokémon seem to be affected by weather conditions more than most other Pokémon, due to their closeness with plants and nature. While weak to Ice and Fire-type, two very commonly used types offensively, the other weaknesses of the Grass-types are rarely used offensively. Furthermore, two of the types that specialize in moves that Grass types are weak to are hindered by their poor offensive stats. Most Grass-type moves a smart moves.

Weak against Ground, Rock and Water, Fire-type Pokemon do not usually survive long in battle, so they must deal damage quickly.This reflects the nature of fire being a glass cannon; a very destructive force yet at the same time being very fragile. Fire is very powerful and is super effective against Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel. Fire is unique in that it is the only type that can cause 5× times damage. Fire-type moves are typically beautiful.
